I've decided to exhibit Premonition in this year's show. The Broome Street Gallery is a quaint little space in the midst of Soho. There's always a good turnout and the walls are continually filled with beautiful art.

Yay Chantell! I'm sure your piece will stand out! That is a great piece. What year did you complete it? I wish I could go down to Soho for the opening. I will be there in spirit!

Thanks, Debbi! How sweet of you. I believe this piece was done in '06.

Congratulations, Chantell. You know I love this piece, it's so mysterious! It is a very successful one too. Kind of like an energizer armadillo.

Thanks, Gary. Yes, I know you love this piece...and I love you for loving it. Energizer armadillo? Maybe the pig will get jealous of the use of expression?

Chantell, I should have been more clear with my thoughts. The posture and demeanor of the pig in this piece reminds me of an armadillo, so I was thinking "armadillo" while I was writing. When I was a student at The University of Oklahoma there was a man who walked his pet armadillo on campus which made me very curious about those endearing little creatures. During the depression in that part of the country they called armadillos "poverty pigs" and "Hoover hogs" because they took the place of pork on the tables of many starving people. This pig has no reason to get jealous, he's the real deal.

Well you learn something new every day. Really, that is quite interesting, Gary. With the way the economy has been going lately, I think "Hoover pigs" might make a comeback!

Thanks again for sharing all your entry! I agree with them all!

Hi Chantell, Which piece in your cp gallery is "Hali"? Not to be too critical, but I wish you had the titles and sizes there as well. I know your pieces are large, and it helps to envision them. How is your new piece coming along?

Hi Debbi,

Sadly, this site set-up doesn't allow captions with photos (yet). They're (site provider) working on it. No you're NOT being too critical. You're RIGHT! It's driving me nuts. I switched over 6 mos ago from Network Solutions (who were robbing me blind). I was paying nearly $500.00 per year on site service. Ridiculous.
Anyway....'Hali' is the first image in the CP Gallery. Angel with an orange-ish background. Size is 36 x 24". Cutting it close in size limitation for CPSA.

Oh, so that's the one that you recently finished! I like that one a lot. Have you gotten it framed yet? If so, how?

Thanks, Debbi. No, I haven't framed it yet. It will be plain though.
